L’Oréal ensures your favourite salon is ready to welcome youDevelops ‘Back to Business’ safety guideline for salonsIntroduces express services to ensure lesser time spent within salon premises

Anando Sangbad Live : As salons across the Kolkata resume operations, L’Oréal India is working with their salon partners to ensure they are prepared and ready to welcome clients. With the aim of providing a safe environment to both clients and salon employees, L’Oréal has developed ‘Back to Business’ safety guidelines that helps salons maintain a hygienic and sanitised environment through stringent protocols. D. P. Sharma, Director, Professional Products Division, said, “Salons and the hairdresser community have been our partners for close to three decades in India. It is therefore natural that we support them during this difficult time. During the lockdown, we helped them upskill and announced a credit extension for all our distributors and direct salon partners. We are now working to help them prepare for reopening confidently. Now more than ever, we are committed to our role as partner and advocate of the hair dressing industry and will continue to work tirelessly to lessen the impact of this crisis on them.” All customers visiting L’Oréal partner salons will be provided with disposable masks and gloves. Salon employees will be required to wear safety gear including aprons, disposable masks and gloves. The ‘Back to Business’ safety guidelines also provide advice on safety precautions to be taken including hand cleansing, tool disinfecting and salon routing. The support guide provides comprehensive information from pre-booking, reorganisation of salon to space out appointments to social distancing between workstations, removal of magazines and keeping sanitisers handy and electronic payments. The ‘Back to Business’ support guide has been distributed to L’Oréal’s 45,000-strong salon network and over 170,000 hairdressers; and is now available to all hairdressers or salon partners of L’Oréal Professional Product brands – L’Oréal Professionnel, Matrix, Kérastase and Cheryl’s Cosmeceuticals. L’Oréal Professional Products have also worked with their salon partners to develop a host of express services in hair and skincare that enable clients to spend lesser time at the salons, while enabling quality service; thereby building the confidence of customers to return to their favourite salons. L’Oréal brand Matrix, through its solidarity initiative Project Sunshine, has helped over 4000 salons in 45 cities with sanitization and fumigation services. A sanitization certificate has then been provided to salons to further reassure clients.L’Oréal also brought attention to the special role hairdressers play in our lives, through the #LoveIsInTheHair campaign that speaks of the unique bond between hairstylists and clients, while reiterating their significance in our lives.According to a survey by Redquanta, salon visits are among the top 3 activities that people have missed the most during the lockdown, with 56% saying they missed going to salons.
