According to sources “The young woman Manya Singh is the daughter of an auto-rickshaw driver and belongs to a slum in Mumbai. Rohit has always believed in giving talent the opportunity to shine. He strongly believes that your talent and hard work can help you get out of any adversity you might be in.”
Reality show star Rohit Varma stated “I would like to give it back to the society through my passion. I just feel that as a citizen of India, it is our duty to empower each other and this is how we do it, I have always been taught at home that one should always help others.”

Recently Rohit has decided that 25 percent of the amount from his Sonagachi collection, will be donated to aid the education of sex workers. Actress Kashmera Shah and Donal Bisht are the faces of the collection.
