International Yoga Day Celebration at Golden Tulip Hotel, Kolkata


Kolkata, 21st June, 2022: The nature of yoga is to shine the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body. On the occasion of 7th International Yoga Day, Nephrocare India initiated a session named “Yoga For Healthy Living” to offer a holistic approach towards healthy lifestyle with a proper understanding of
Yoga. The event was organized in collaboration with Mantra and powered by Map5 Events. It was attended by more than 100 participants at Golden Tulip Hotel, Saltlake, Kolkata.
Yoga prevents many chronic diseases and is a blessing to the mankind. It is the best gift that one can offer to his own self. Yoga does not change the way we see things; rather it transforms the one who sees.
The event was attended by: Dr. Pratim Sengupta, MD, Internal Medicine and DM, Nephrology as the Mentor; Mr. Subhabrata Bhattacharya, Founder & Director, Mantra Lifestyle Health Club; Mr. Ashish Mittal, Director, Golden Tulip Hotel and several eminent personalities.
It was a day long celebration which included sessions on Dhauti Kriya, Anga Mardana, Surya Namaskar,Meditation, Om Chanting and Pranayam. Hatha Yoga, Trataka and Mauna was also practised at the programme. The event also witnessed discourse on principles of Health and Yoga followed by a discussion
on Yoga and Mind Control.
Speaking to the media, Mentor of the event, Dr. Pratim Sengupta, MD, Internal Medicine and DM,
Nephrology said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world
and nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well-being. Let us work towards adopting Yoga in our daily lives.”
