We have tried to keep the same essence in our song at the same time we have tried to highlight the perspective of our mothers. The original song Vandemataram is representing our motherland and our composition Tumi Maa is representing our mothers in flesh and blood. We have tried to blend both of them in our song. The song also has a rap which similarly represents both the mothers.” says singer and lyricist Gourab Sarkar.
