- The third phase of this vaccination drive is the first of its kind initiative by a private college in West Bengal
Kolkata, 26 July 2021: Sur Institute of Technology (Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex) organized an on-site free mass vaccination drive today under the flagship of JIS Group. The drive will continue for three days (26th July – 28th July 2021). This onsite vaccination will cover its students, faculty, staff members, alumni, and their families along with local residents too. Prior registration on CoWin Portal has to be done to get the vaccine. Smt. Aditi Munshi MLA, Rajarhat Gopalpur Assembly was among the dignitaries present today.
The aim of this free vaccination drive by the JIS Group is to build confidence in society to combat COVID-19. In the first & second phases of the vaccination, 15,000 people have been vaccinated by JIS Group, and the third & final phase of vaccination targets to vaccinate more than 15,000 people by 28th July 2021.
Shri. Taranjit Singh, MD of JIS Group said, “Vaccination is the need of the hour, and while planning the drive apart from making it a free of cost facility we kept it open for all ranging from our students, faculties, alumni, and their family members who have not been able to get the vaccine yet.
