Ekal Premier League is the first ever Corporate Indoor Cricket Tournament

Friends of Tribals Society (FTS) was established on January 15, 1989. FTS is a non-profit organisation having its headquarters at Kolkata and it is having 36 Chapters in 35 places. The organisation is dedicated to the upliftment of tribals. FTS runs One Teacher School (OTS) or Ekal Vidyalaya, which imparts non- formal primary education to children between 6 and 14 years of age. An OTS typically comprises 25 – 30 children of classes I to III. The duration of the classes is three hours. An Ekal Vidyalaya imparts five-fold education; primary education, health care education, development education, awareness education and sanskar education. As on March 31, 2021, FTS was running 102,552 Ekal Vidyalaya supporting basic education of 26,32,065 students.
The Ekal Yuva or the youth wing of Kolkata includes young philanthropist who have a vision of including more young minds of Kolkata to this virtuous cause. Ekal Premier League is the first ever Corporate Indoor Cricket Tournament being organised on 2nd & 3rd October 2021 at Spring Club, Kolkata. Fairfield by Marriot Kolkata has come up to support this event as the title sponsor, Eden Group and Topcem are the co-sponsors. As the supporting partners we have Vardhman , Atlantis, Speed Transport, Leo Club, Hampercart, KJ Delicacies. Charring Cross Nursing Home is our Medical Partner.
21 corporate teams are taking part in this 2 day tournament to support in spreading the light of literacy in rural India. Fairfield by Marriot, Topcem, CenturyPly, Dollar Industries, Sunrise Timber, JPNR, MCKV, De Montfort University, Insync, Willowood, Skipper, GNG group, SSI Management, Badabro, N.K.Realtors, Kredent, Baid Jewels, Wow Momo, Saraogi Udyog, Shyam Sel and Four Square Shipping and Logistics. The objective of organizing this event is to spread awareness and raise funds for our endeavour of educating and uplifting the rural children through our Ekal Vidyalaya. The entire proceeds of the event will go to the education of these rural children.
